Advanced IC Operation and Troubleshooting

 

The Advanced IC Operation and Troubleshooting Courses are instrument-specific classes designed to increase the skill level of experienced users of Dionex Chromatography Systems.

Each two day course is designed for experienced chromatographers who have completed Dionex Basic IC training, and will include operation/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of specific hardware configurations. Each course will also include hands-on operation and troubleshooting with specific laboratory exercises to familiarize experienced users with these important issues. Calibration of pump and detector modules will be covered, and attendees will be instructed on how to perform these steps on their instruments. Course duration is 2 days.Class size is limited to 10 attendees.

Course outline for lecture and lab sessions:

1. IC theory review

2. Advanced maintenance and troubleshooting theory

    - Theory, maintenance, and operation of:

                    Detectors: conductivity, amperometry, and UV

                    Pumps

                    Injection valves

                    Autosamplers

     - Startup and shutdown procedures

     - Theoretical and practical troubleshooting exercises

Because we will be using Dionex Chromeleon Software for system control and data manipulation, Chromeleon level 1 & 2 courses are required for all of the Advanced IC operation and troubleshooting courses.

Who Should Attend:

Experienced users of Dionex Equipment with at least 6 months of hands-on experience with the IC System (please contact instructor if less than 6 months experience)
