March 2008, Sunnyvale, CA—Dionex Corporation announces the addition of well plate support to the AS Autosampler, helping scientists in the life sciences industry to facilitate processing of large numbers of samples.
Each well plate on the AS accommodates up to 96 wells. Two well plates will fit into the AS, bringing total sample capacity of the AS up to 192. Plate geometries include both deep and micro-well formats. The deep-well capacity is 2.0 mL. The micro-well capacity is available in two formats: 0.5 mL and 0.45 mL (conical). The AS is uniquely suited for many life science applications. Its 100% metal-free flow paths ensure compatibility with metal-sensitive components as well as routine handling of both acidic and basic samples. The AS is available with optional sample tray cooling down to 4 ˚C and a sample preparation option. The AS with the new well plate capabilities is the perfect fit for the ICS series and is fully supported by ChromeleonÒ Chromatography Management Software.
