Dionex Corporation has recently opened two additional customer support centers focused on the training and application needs
of our customers. The centers are located in the northwest
Chicago suburb of
Bannockburn,
Illinois, and in
Olten,
Switzerland
, to serve our North American and European customers, respectively. The new centers broaden Dionex support from existing training
and applications centers worldwide (Table 1). Dionex, the third largest vendor of liquid chromatography solutions, has additional
laboratories focused on applications development across Europe, North America, and Asia (Table 2), including recently-opened
labs in
Bangkok,
Thailand; and
Shanghai,
China
.

At the training and applications centers, Dionex customers can attend training courses on hardware maintenance, chromatography
software, and applications development in liquid chromatography and sample extraction. The new centers in Bannockburn and
Olten house experts in HPLC, ion chromatography (IC), high-performance anion-exchange chromatography with pulsed amperometric
detection (HPAE-PAD), Chromeleon® chromatography software, LC-MS and IC-MS, and Nano/Capillary LC. These experts assist customers in their purchasing decisions
and can advise on current and future application development needs. The customer support center applications laboratories
house a full range of Dionex equipment and teams of application chemists. The labs analyze samples for prospective customers.
Customers and prospective customers can visit the centers to see Dionex equipment and, by special arrangement, work with Dionex
experts and application chemists.
In addition to the training and applications centers, Dionex has laboratories focused on applications development across the
globe. Each applications lab has a specific focus. For example, the lab in
Amsterdam
develops applications for Nano/Capillary LC, primarily for proteomics. Table 2 shows the application focus of each lab. The
main function of these labs is to produce documents, such as application notes and technical notes, that present Dionex solutions
for both routine and challenging analyses. The labs develop solutions to emerging analytical problems, in addition to demonstrating
how new technologies can be used to improve analyses in existing application areas. They also test new Dionex equipment and
methods, with the twin goals of finding areas to improve Dionex products, and delivering each product with at least one application
document. The applications labs also occasionally participate in development of methods and sample analysis for customers,
and train applications chemists for the customer support centers.

Dionex’s new customer support centers provide a concentration of equipment, chemists, and applications information at the
North American and European sites, allowing Dionex to better serve its customers in these geographies. Each center covers
the full range of Dionex applications, hardware, and software solutions, allowing fast and information rich responses to customer
inquiries. Customers benefit from the teamwork and shared expertise of the applications chemists and the experts at each center.
With customer support centers around the world, Dionex is well-positioned to help our customers develop LC and extraction
applications to meet their current and future analysis needs.
