Increase Sample Throughput
The ICS-90/ICS-90A provides simplicity in an entry-level IC system that allows for more sample throughput for routine ion analysis. Designed specifically for routine anion and cation analysis, this system gets the job done. The ICS-90/ICS-90A is an integrated, single-channel, isocratic IC system that performs consistently and reproducibly. The flexible pump flow rate range supports 3–4 mm isocratic Dionex anion- and cation-exchange columns. And worrying about maintaining the pump is a thing of the past. The proven fast-reciprocating pumping design provides maximum uptime. Couple this with the sensitive, stable conductivity detector and you have a system capable of delivering precision results—routinely and worry-free.
The system is controlled and data is stored using the powerful Chromelon® SE software. Chromeleon SE combines the ideal blend of powerful data analysis capabilities with a logical, user-friendly interface. To help keep track of all the work your ICS-90/ICS-90A does, audit trails log the details of instrument use. All manipulations are recorded and kept in a history file, making troubleshooting simple and GLP compliance (if this is a requirement in your lab) more achievable. Storage of results in the secure, integral database allows you to find your data by any parameter using query functions. Customizable reporting structure helps you to optimize data and results presentation. System Wellness provides on-line calibration and diagnostics to ensure optimum performance.
When you decide your ICS-90/ICS-90A should take over all your anion and cation analysis, the ICS-90/ICS-90A can be fully automated with an autosampler to deliver samples every run consistently without you being present. Simply fill the samples, enter the description, and press start to begin your daily routine.
MMS Suppression Provides Low Noise and Fast Start-Ups
Displacement Chemical Regeneration (DCR) mode makes IC easy to use. You no longer need pressurized regenerant bottles or an external regenerant pump in this mode because the regenerant is automatically displaced with conductivity cell effluent. This type of suppression delivers the regenerant to the suppressor at a flow rate equal to the eluent flow rate. The result is extremely fast start-ups and low baseline noise. When your baseline noise is low, you can detect trace-level peaks and integrate reliably and routinely. Faster start-ups give you extra time to prepare your runs and analyze your data. Who doesn’t need more time in the lab? Spend more time on what matters to you—your results—and not on regenerating and maintaining suppressors.
Contamination-Free with Inert Material Throughout the Fluidic Flow Path
Metal-free materials such as polyetheretherketone (PEEK) prevent mobile phases traditionally used in IC analysis from contaminating and corroding the system. The PEEK material is used throughout the ICS-90/ICS-90A system flow path, providing compatibility with aqueous eluents of pH 0–14. Maintaining your system is simplified because the PEEK flow path ensures contamination-free ion analysis. As a bonus, the PEEK tubing used to plumb the system is easy to use and cut for fast replacement or plumbing flexibility. No more sharp edges, bad-fitting connections, or crimped tubing that can occur with stainless steel tubing.
High-Performance Conductivity Detection
The ICS-90/ICS-90A comes factory equipped with a thermally controlled, digital conductivity detector. The digital detection allows for a wide range of detection from 0 to 10,000 uS. Digital detection eliminates the time-consuming task of analog range changes typically required with older analog detector designs. The thermally controlled conductivity cell with heat exchanger provides drift-free baselines and excellent system stability. IC integration is significantly improved with stable baselines, resulting in reproducible peak areas. Let your ICS-90/ICS-90A analyze all of your peaks—big or small—without changing any settings.
