Improve Efficiency by Running Two Applications with One Sample Injection
The Simultaneous Injection AS Autosampler can independently control injection valves on two independent systems. Both systems
then perform the required analysis and the results are reported to Chromeleon. Essentially, two independent IC systems are
controlled and sampled with one autosampler. Using an ICS-3000 and an additional divertor valve, sequential injection adds
the flexibility and control of adding sample only to one channel. Sequential injection gives greater flexibility for limited
sample amounts but also provides sample injection overlap. In either scenario, one autosampler is shared between two systems.
Twice the Throughput Compared to Conventional Modes of Automation
Simultaneous injection doubles your analytical power. Achieve higher sample throughput and eliminate errors associated with
multiple operators and sampling locations. Simultaneous injection is fully controllable using Chromeleon.
Two Operational Modes: "Simultaneous" and "Conventional"
The Simultaneous Injection AS can be used in either mode to provide the greatest flexibility and capability to your laboratory
operation. In simultaneous mode, take advantage of high throughput with two-system operation. In conventional mode, run samples
the traditional way on a single system. Either way, let automation free up your analysts for other tasks while sample analysis on
the IC runs quickly and independently.
Minimize Errors Associated with Multiple Vial Handling
Improve throughput and quality by eliminating errors associated with multiple operators and sampling locations. The Simultaneous
Injection AS ensures that each sample is correctly and accurately delivered to accomplish the separation you need.
Single-Sample Application Flexibility
An example of this setup is the analysis of a drinking water sample for both cations and anions. In this example, the Simultaneous
Injection AS is used to deliver sample to the two IC systems for analysis of both cations and anions, simultaneously. This
capability allows system control of the injection valves independently for calibrations and simultaneously for unknown sample
injections. In addition, the AS supports applications such as concentrator work for high sample volumes, as well as high-
and low-concentration sample analysis in one run.
Integrated Chromeleon Support
Chromeleon simplifies reporting by allowing you to collect data from both systems. Calibration and result data are quickly
and easily summarized in one view for full analyte disclosure.
Fully Supported Under Dionex Validation
The Simultaneous Injection AS Autosampler is fully supported by Dionex validation protocols to ensure that regulatory compliance
is met. Simultaneous injection is supported by the ICS-900, ICS-1000, ICS-1500, ICS-2000, and ICS-3000. The ICS-2500 does
not currently support simultaneous injection.
