Separation of Cationic Surfactants with Suppressed Conductivity Detection

Cationic surfactants are popular disinfectants and antibacterial agents, used in many pharmaceutical and consumer products. Analysis using HPLC can be challenging because these surfactants have weak UV response, and also have very poor peak asymmetry on conventional HPLC columns. The Acclaim® Surfactant column gives superior peak shapes for this class. Suppressed conductivity detection has better detection limits than ELSD, and for some compounds better than UV.
