Ketones and aldehydes are air pollutants emitted by internal combustion engines. They are trapped from air by the formation of the DNPH derivatives, and then assayed. Here, a low-level standard is separated on the Acclaim^® 120 C18. No traditional C18 column can fully resolve this mixture even at twice the column length.
