Reduce Labor and Improve Performance with Economical RFIC-EG Upgrade
Existing DX-120, DX-320, DX-500, DX-600, and ICS-2500 IC systems can now be upgraded to use this latest innovation in IC. Eluent
generation improves the productivity of your laboratory in many ways. While carbonate-based eluents have been the basic eluent
used for anion analysis in IC for years, Dionex eluent generation enables you to take full advantage of hydroxide-based eluents
for anion analysis. Hydroxide eluents have higher sensitivity and a broader linear response range for analyte conductivity.
In addition, hydroxide-based eluents make many more IC separations possible. Eluent generation now makes gradient IC separations
easy, routine, and reliable compared to manually prepared reagents. Eluent generation makes trace-level analysis of anions
and cations routine. Using the eluent generator with the CR-TC trap columns minimizes baseline shift during the step changes
or gradients. For cation determinations, the EGC II MSA cartridge delivers ultrapure MSA for a low, stable baseline and reproducible
retention times.
Improve IC Reproducibility with Precise Electrolytic Eluent Generation
The combination of three Reagent-Free electrolytic devices eliminates the manual preparation of eluent and regenerant, allowing
for more uptime and day-to-day uniformity in the laboratory. Methods and applications can be easily developed, reproduced,
relocated, and installed in another laboratory with confidence and repeatability. Applications can be reproduced in minutes
with the ease. Just set the concentration through the front panel of the RFC-30 and use your existing IC system.
No More Manual Preparation of Eluents and Regenerants
Eluent generation eliminates errors associated with manual eluent preparation. This automation effectively improves method
reproducibility, day-to-day, week-to-week, and lab-to-lab. With manual eluent preparation, laboratories face more frequent
method verification and troubleshooting because different employees can make inadvertent variations in the preparation of
eluents and regenerants. Completely eliminate this risk and let eluent generation put the confidence back in your results. Eluent
generation not only takes the manual labor out of ion chromatography, it is also easy to learn and easy to use. Furthermore,
by running an IC system that pumps only DI water, you increase the lifetime of pump seals and pistons.
Use Gradient Capabilities with Existing System and Reduce Baseline Drift
Eluent generation technology also provides the power of gradient separations from an isocratic pumping system. Gradient separations
are as effortless as isocratic separations because eluent preparation is eliminated and straightforward programming creates
gradient compositions. A change in eluent concentrations is accomplished by changing settings through the front panel of the
RFC-30, not a manual preparation from a chemical stock. On-line eluent generation eradicates eluent contaminants that cause
gradient baseline shifts by electronically generating high-purity, contamination-free eluent. This eluent generation results
in higher sensitivity, improved resolution, lower baseline drift, and better peak integration.
Electrolytic suppressors reduce the conductivity of the eluent while enhancing the conductivity of the analytes. These functions
dramatically improve sensitivity, stability, and dynamic range for anion and cation analysis. With RFIC-EG technology, there
is no need to prepare acid or base regenerants for the suppressor, resulting in lower noise and much faster start-ups.
CR-TC technology is designed to be an in-line trap column for removing contaminants. The device eliminates trace ionic impurities,
such as carbonate, from the eluent stream, and does not require off-line cleanup procedures.
