Are you tired of the broad tailing peaks you get when separating cationic surfactants using reversed phase columns? Would
you like to be able to separate all classes of surfactant using a single column? Introducing the Acclaim Surfactant column;
the only column developed specifically for the analysis of surfactants.
-
Ideal selectivity for mixtures of surfactants
-
Excellent peak shapes for cationic surfactants
-
Compatible with highly aqueous mobile phases
-
Improved resolution for ethoxylated surfactants
-
Rugged separations under a variety of conditions
-
Methods compatible with various detectors
-
Broad range of applications.
When analyzing cationic surfactants by reversed phase chromatography, it is often difficult to obtain sharp, symmetrical peaks
due primarily to the presence of free silanols on the silica. The Acclaim Surfactant columns feature a novel bonding chemistry
that allows for effective deactivation of free silanols towards positively charged cationic surfactants, resulting in excellent
peaks shapes.
The Acclaim Surfactant column provides excellent resolution of surfactants over a broad range of applications using detectors
ranging from UV-Vis, to suppressed conductivity, to evaporative light scattering (ELSD), to mass spectrometry. As a consequence
of its novel chemistry, it exhibits a unique polarity that provides significantly improved resolution for individual oligomers
of ethoxylated surfactants compared with conventional C18. The Acclaim Surfactant is also resistant to dewetting under highly
aqueous mobile phase conditions, and thus can be used to provide excellent resolution between strongly hydrophilic compounds,
such as isomers of xylene sulfonate.
Each Acclaim Surfactant column is manufactured to stringent specifications to ensure column-to-column reproducibility. Each
column is shipped with a lot validation sheet showing the test results and specifications for the lot of bonded silica Production
columns are individually tested for capacity and efficiency, and closely monitored for metals contamination. Reproducible
column-to-column manufacturing, the use of ultrapure silica, and performance validation of every column prior to shipping,
all ensure that the quality of your separations will be maintained month to month and year to year.
