The PepSwift TM monolithic columns are specially designed for the fast separation of proteins and peptides by Nano and Capillary LC. These
monolithic columns are based on a polystyrene divinylbenzene copolymer bed. This monolithic bed structure of the column offers
a high-quality alternative to traditional microparticulate sorbents, providing important advantages to the chromatographic
separation. The lack of intraparticular void volume improves mass transfer and separation efficiency, allowing for fast, high-quality
separations.
- Polymeric monolithic stationary phases
- High-speed protein/peptide separations (<10 min)
- High separation efficiency (>200.000 plates/m)
- High column-to-column reproducibility
- High sensitivity in LC/MS
- Superior lifetime
- Available in 100-µm, 200-µm and 500-µm i.d.
Precolumns available in 200-µm i.d.
Designed to Improve Your LC/MS Separations
PepSwift monolithic columns are tailored to work in the UltiMateTM 3000 Nano/Capillary LC system, providing highest efficiencies. The UltiMate 3000 system is ideally suited for coupling to
any mass spectrometer, both on-line (ESI, nanospray) and off-line (MALDI).
PepSwift columns feature superior pH stability (1–13) and the rigid structure results in excellent column lifetime due to
the absence of any voiding.
PepSwift Monolithic Precolumns
PepSwift Precolumns can be used for preconcentration and desalting of samples consisting of peptides and proteins. They do not negatively
influence the chromatographic performance or recovery of the compounds. Various ion-pairing agents can be used in the loading
solvent and/or mobile phases to change the selectivity of the separation or improve the trapping efficiency.
The sample capacity of the PepSwift Precolumns (200-µm i.d. x 5 mm) is in the range of 100 pmol for both peptides and proteins.
Direct Injection vs Microcolumn Switching
The influence of the PepSwift Precolumn on chromatographic performance was evaluated by the separation of tryptic peptides
of cytochrome c.
