The IonPac® AS7 is a high-capacity, high-efficiency, hydrophobic, anion-exchange column designed for the separation of a wide range of polyvalent anions, including polyphosphates, polyphosphonates, and other polyvalent complexing agents such as EDTA and NTA. The AS16 or AS20 columns are recommended for polyphosphates. Use the AS7 column for polyphosphates, polyphosphonates, and chelating agents (EDTA and NTA) in complex sample matrices. Determine cyanide and sulfide using amperometric detection in sodium hydroxide and wastewater samples. Analyze for hexavalent chromium using postcolumn reaction and visible absorbance detection in environmental matrices, including wastewater, drinking water, and ambient air. Separate inorganic and organic species of arsenic in drinking water and urine samples.
An acidic eluent (eliminating metal interferences during quantification) with postcolumn derivatization and UV-Vis absorbance detection is used to determine the polyvalent anions in complex matrices. The AS7 column can be used with a wide range of detectors including conductivity, amperometry, and photometry.
