The IonPac® AS17 is a low-capacity, hydroxide-selective, anion-exchange column designed for the determination of inorganic anions using gradient elution. The AS17 was designed specifically for use with the EG40 Eluent Generator. Dionex has continued to provide hydroxide-selective columns for use with the EG40 and EG50 Eluent Generators. Use the AS17 column in combination with the EG40 or EG50 Eluent Generator for the fast, gradient separation of the common inorganic anions at similar concentrations. The AS17 column is ideal for the fast, gradient separation of sulfur species, including sulfite, sulfate, and thiosulfate. Simplified Reagent-FreeTM Ion Chromatography (RFICTM) operation is provided by the EG40 or EG50 Eluent Generators, or the RFC-30 Controller, which requires only a deionized water source to produce potassium hydroxide eluent. The IonPac AS18 column is the recommended hydroxide-selective column for the determination of the common inorganic anions in diverse sample matrices.
The IonPac AS17 column is designed for the fast, gradient separation of anions, including fluoride, acetate, chloride, nitrite, bromide, nitrate, sulfate, and phosphate, in a variety of sample matrices, such as drinking water, wastewater, foods and beverages, industrial cooling waters, and scrubber solutions. The AS17 column can resolve the common inorganic anions and acetate in less than 10 min using a 1.0–40 mM hydroxide gradient at a controlled temperature of 30 ºC coupled with suppressed conductivity detection. The AS17 provides excellent retention of fluoride from the water dip and baseline resolution of fluoride, acetate, propionate, and formate. The AS17 is recommended for RFIC technology using the EG40 or EG50 Eluent Generators, or the RFC-30 Controller. Use the Anion Self-Regenerating Suppressor (ASRS® ULTRA) with the AS17 column.
