Designed specifically for compliance monitoring of inorganic anions in accordance with U.S. EPA Method 300.0 (A) and 300.1, the IonPac® AS18 represents the culmination of more than 20 years of column development, and is a key part of our award-winning Reagent-FreeTM Ion Chromatography (RFICTM) system—a revolutionary step in ion chromatography that requires only a source of deionized water to produce potassium hydroxide eluent. - Recommended hydroxide-selective column for mg/L to µg/L levels of the common inorganic anions in diverse sample matrices
- Fast isocratic separation of the common inorganic anions in 9 min
- Hydroxide gradients for inorganic anion and low-molecular-weight organic acids in complex sample matrices
- Superior retention and quantification of fluoride, acetate, and formate
- Meets performance requirements specified in U.S. EPA Method 300.0 (A)
- Ideal alternative, using potassium hydroxide eluents, for AS4A-SC, AS12A, AS14, AS14A, and AS17 anion applications
The IonPac AS18 is designed for the determination of inorganic anions and low-molecular-weight organic acids in a variety of sample matrices, including drinking water, wastewater, foods and beverages, industrial cooling waters, and scrubber solutions. The AS18 column can be used with isocratic hydroxide eluents or hydroxide gradients for the determination of inorganic anions. The capacity and selectivity of the AS18 column provides the flexibility to modify the eluent conditions for optimum separation of the anions of interest. The AS18 has excellent retention of fluoride from the water dip and baseline resolution of fluoride, acetate, and formate. The AS18 column is approved for compliance monitoring of inorganic anions in drinking water and wastewater samples in accordance with U.S. EPA Methods 300.0 and 300.1. The AS18 is recommended for RFIC technology using the EG40 or EG50 Eluent Generators, or the RFC-30 Controller. Use the Anion Self-Regenerating Suppressor (ASRS® ULTRA) or the Anion Atlas® Electrolytic Suppressor (up to 25 µeq/min) with the AS18 column. The AS18 column is an ideal alternative, using potassium hydroxide eluents, for AS4A-SC, AS12A, AS14, AS14A, and AS18 inorganic anion applications. |
