The IonPac® AS12A anion-exchange column is designed for fast analysis of the common inorganic anions and oxyhalides in environmental waters. This column is also recommended for trace chloride and sulfate in high carbonate matrices. The AS23 is the recommended column for the determination of oxyhalides and inorganic anions. The AS12A can be used for fast analysis of inorganic anions and oxyhalides at similar concentrations. The AS12A can be used for trace chloride and sulfate in samples high in carbonate. The AS23 column is the newest carbonate column for fast analysis of oxyhalides and inorganic anions at similar concentrations. For trace bromate in ozonated drinking water, use the high-capacity AS23 column.
The IonPac AS12A is a moderate-capacity, carbonate-based, anion-exchange column designed for the fast, isocratic separation of inorganic anions and oxyhalides, including fluoride, chlorite, bromate, chloride, nitrite, bromide, chlorate, nitrate, phosphate, and sulfate in drinking water, wastewater, groundwater, and other diverse sample matrices. The common inorganic anions and oxyhalides can be determined in less than 12 min using an isocratic carbonate/bicarbonate eluent coupled with suppressed conductivity detection. The AS12A offers excellent retention and quantification of fluoride. It resolves chloride from high concentrations of carbonate. Use the Atlas® Anion Electrolytic Suppressor (AAES®) with the AS12A column.
